Flip Side Watersports at Oak Mountain State Park is excited to celebrate the grand opening of a new attraction throughout Memorial Day weekend. The new inflatable Aqua Park is the perfect way to jumpstart your summer.

The grand opening of the inflatable Aqua Park will be May 25-27, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day. The Aqua Park will feature a tower with an attached slide, a Figure 8 slide, a moon jump, a tunnel, a narrow A-frame balance beam and a small pyramid – all manufactured for tons of bouncy fun.

“This new attraction is just part of the ongoing relationship we have with our vendors at the state parks,” said Alabama State Parks Director Greg Lein. “Like us, our vendors are always looking for new and better ways to provide our guests with quality recreational experiences. This new Inflatable Aqua Park looks perfect for the warm temperatures we enjoy in the spring and the hot Alabama summers.”

Tickets for the Inflatable Aqua Park will be separate from Flip Side’s Wakeboard Cable Park at OMSP. The first session for each person is $15, with additional sessions costing $10 each. Each session is 45 minutes.

“We’re thrilled to be adding the Inflatable Aqua Park to our experience at Flip Side Watersports,” said Kristen Talbot, owner of the entertainment company. “Over the past five years we’ve been blessed to have a partnership with Oak Mountain State Park, Shelby County and the City of Pelham that has allowed us to provide new activities for all ages to enjoy. It’s always been our goal to get more people – especially kids – off their couches and out to enjoy the outdoors.”

As safety is the No. 1 priority for Flip Side Watersports, regulations for the Inflatable Aqua Park include minimum age (7) and height (45 inches) requirements. All participants must be able to swim. Everyone must complete a waiver and attend a briefing by the Flip Side Watersports staff before enjoying the Inflatable Aqua Park. The U.S. Coast Guard-approved life vests provided by the Aqua Park must be worn at all times.

Talbot said that the maximum number of participants per hour is 30 and an Aqua Guide accompanies each group. For more information, visit and
